The new sturdy PCD-1000TM Submersible Pump can pump water down to 1 3/8 inches in depth and is intended for utility and draining applications. The pump has a superior stainless-steel impeller, shaft, suction strainer, and casing for increased corrosion resistance and longer service life, along with increased flow rates. The pump can handle stones and debris up to 3/4 inches in diameter. For quicker drainage, the pump has a 1 1⁄4-inch discharge outlet. Additionally included are discharge port adapters and a float switch.
Automatic Reset Thermal Protector
The PCD-1000™ Submersible Pump is equipped with an automatic reset thermal protector to help prevent premature failure caused by overheating. The motor will be protected by the switch, which will cause it to stop if the internal motor temperature reaches dangerous levels. The switch will automatically reset and restart the motor after it has cooled down enough to allow you to start pumping again.
Float Switch
The PCD-1000 pump can optionally operate automatically thanks to the integrated external float switch. Connecting the pump wire to the switch's other end and plugging it straight into an outlet makes installation simple. When the surrounding water causes the float switch to rise to a 45° angle from the handle, the pump is then automatically turned on. The pump shuts off automatically when the float switch and water level return to their initial positions.
